Description

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in forestry and nature conservation who wants to work at our authority for forestry issues.

Responsibilities

You will primarily work with the establishment of area protection and nature conservation issues.

The work is carried out both from the office and in the field, both independently and in collaboration with others. You will also be involved in the district's other activities, which include supervision, advice, inventory, and commissioned work. The work involves contacts with forest owners, forestry companies, authorities, interest organizations, and the public. We cover a large geography where digital meeting formats and training are important tools. Travel with overnight stays within the county may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in forestry, biology with a forestry focus, or equivalent. Practical experience in assessing forest nature values and knowledge of conservation species, as well as knowledge of the natural types present in the geography, are meritorious. We value good IT/GIS skills and would like you to have experience in conducting training.

Your personal qualities are of great importance. We are looking for a person with integrity who meets people with objectivity and respect. You are flexible, can collaborate with others, and have good administrative skills. You are responsible and meticulous and complete your tasks independently towards set goals. You also need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

A driver's license is required.

Conditions

We offer a permanent position and the job is full-time. Start date according to agreement.

Stationing in Skellefteå, Norsjö, Lycksele, Storuman, or Sorsele. Please indicate your preferred location in your application. We apply a 6-month probationary period and individual salary setting.
